Plastic and reconstructive surgeon Gintaras Papečkys has been one of the pioneers of plastic-aesthetic surgery and aesthetic medicine in Lithuania since 1991. He has performed more than 5,000 aesthetic operations and introduced many innovative procedures to the country, including fat grafting (1996), male genital correction (1997), and botulinum toxin injections (1999). He was among the first to use advanced fillers such as Restylane Sub Q for facial contouring (2002) and later Radiesse (2009) as well as Macrolane for breast and buttock enhancement (2010). In developing minimally invasive facial surgery, he introduced the Silhouette Lift suspension threads in 2010. He also began using PRP injections in 2011 and was the first in Lithuania to perform stem-cell transplantation for facial skin rejuvenation that same year.
