In 1929, a residential apartment building was commissioned by Prof. Pranas Gudavičius and designed by architect Edmundas Frykas. The professor himself moved in with his family on the building’s first floor, where he also established his consultation office, while the remaining apartments were rented to prominent figures of the time:
Prof. Vincas Čepinskis – Minister of Education, Rector of Vytautas Magnus University
Pranas Dailidė – Director of the ELTA news agency, Lithuanian Envoy Extraordinary and Minister Plenipotentiary to Latvia
Fricis Koncinšas – Latvian Military Attaché to Lithuania
Janis Židas – Latvian Military Attaché to Lithuania
Aleksandras Bobinskis – Lithuanian military officer, Colonel
Stasys Grigaliūnas – Secretary of the State Theatre
Jurgis Štromas – Director of the Industry and Trade Department of the Ministry of Finance, Director of the company Parama
