City Challenge 2021 Kaunas ideation workshop will take place on 23-24th October. Workshop aims to generate innovative solutions enabling the development of mobility for liveable urban spaces, to foster entrepreneurial mindset, and improve ideas generation, validation and pitching skills.

 

Program targets: students, individuals or teams (4-5 members, 5 members max)

Opportunities: On the weekend, you and your team will experience a Challenge Based competition in a real-life setting. We will provide you with coaching in your journey and support that you need.

Participants will work in teams and solve following KAUNAS CITY CHALLENGES:
1. Develop and innovative, practical and sustainable solution to revitalise Kaunas city densely populated apartment blocks’ urban districts – to develop mobility for liveable urban spaces.
2. Develop and innovative, practical and sustainable solution to improve efficiency of schoolchildren mobility between home and school.
3. Develop and innovative, practical and sustainable solution to make Kaunas rivers’ banks more liveable.

Participation is free of charge, but number of participants is limited. Participants will be selected based on motivation. Registration is open till 15th October.

Project prize fund is 1000 EUR (before taxes). The winner of the Kaunas City Challenge will get an opportunity to present their idea in the Grand Finale of the FUSE City Challenge in Barcelona (ESP) – travel and accommodation costs are paid by organisers, but no more than for 5 team members.

The winning team from Kaunas (LTU) will meet teams from Évora (PRT), Riga (LVA) and Ljubljana(SVN), in Barcelona (ESP) Grand Final City Challenge event, will develop idea further and will present their ideas and compete for the prize fund of 2000 Euros (before taxes).

Event is organised by Kaunas University of Technology, Kimitisik B.V. and EIT Urban Mobility.

It is planned to organise it as on site, contact event. Therefore, participants are required to have valid National Certificate (Galimybių pasas https://gpasas.lt/) during the event.
