Business Forum “Sustainable tourism” aims to share with sustainable tourism trends, discuss about sustainable development effect created for the environment, city, community and / or companies itself and share good practices examples with the hospitality business, public sector representatives and Kaunas city guests.

Iceland’s sustainability, technology, and nature. Ásta Kristín Sigurjónsdóttir, Managing. director of the Iceland Tourism Cluster

Ásta Kristín is the Managing Director of the Iceland Tourism Cluster that is a business-driven organization with over 50 members.

The main objective of the Tourism Cluster Initiative is to promote competitiveness and value creation within the Icelandic tourism industry and to develop a co-operating forum for different stakeholders where the focus is on linking them together and opening up for interaction between them.

One of the Clusters focus project is running the Responsible Tourism initiative together with Festa the CSR center in Iceland. Ásta Kristin has a BSc in International Business and Marketing from the University of Reykjavík and an IMPA certificate in project management.

A travel into the Experience Economy and a small visit to a Miracle Journey. Ulf Hallan, CEO and Owner of Miracle Journey, Honorary Consul of Lithuania to Norway.

For 22 years the General Manager of NNL, one of the longest running Leadership Developments programs in Norway. Through this job I have been doing trainings and teachings in the USA for 5 years, in Asia (visiting professor in the Indian Institute of Management in Calcutta, in Cebu, the Philippines, as visiting professor of Cebu University during 3 years, and in a lot of countries in Europe.

I am also a musician and I had the pleasure of inviting the National Symphony Orchestra of Lithuania to my festival, Nordland Music Festival,which is the largest music festival in Northern Norway.  As a consequence of this, in 1999 I was invited by the National Philharmonia to come and visit Lithuania.

I fell in love with the city and I returned many times, so after a quite short time, I was employed as a visiting professor in TVM in Vilnius University. I was appointed in 2003 as the Honorary Consul of Lithuania to Northern Norway and soon after I was also employed as visiting professor in Vilnius Dailes Academia (Master of Cultural Management) and in Vilnius Educological University.

I also started 3 companies here. One was UAB European Leadership Institute, another was UAB HA Enterprise, working with real estate, and the third, and now most important one was UAB Miracle Journey, the story of which I will share in the conference.

Art researcher and curator, Associate Professor at the Arts Department of Vytautas Magnus University, Desigining Happiness program Curator at Kaunas 2022.

Jūratė Tutlytė is involved in curating projects that explore the relationship between art, architecture, urban space and design. Her academic interests include: architecture and design; contemporary processes of urban culture and territorial planning; correlations between public spaces, heritage, culture, art and communities; paradigms of creativity and cultural industries.

Jūratė is an author of many essays and academic articles.
