Workshop: Welcome to Kaunas

If You have recently arrived or returned to Kaunas and want to get a better understanding of how to settle in, we aim to provide handy information that will make the process easier. We also share tips, insights that you might find useful as a newcomer to a city.

On October 23, we invite you to a seminar with experts from various institutions to provide information and answer any questions you may have.

Topics of workshop

• THE SOCIAL INSURANCE SYSTEM (SODRA). We will talk about sickness allowance, maternity/paternity, childcare allowance, pension accumulation and their termination.
• EDUCATION. How to integrate a child into an educational institution. Centralized reception system in Kaunas. Multilingual kindergartens, schools.
• EMPLOYMENT Service. How to get a job in Lithuania? What are the ways of finding a job? What does the Employment Service offer? Employee rights.
• Tax system. Business forms and taxes. Individual activities. Tax return.
