Atminties vietos

This is a unique city guide that offers a vivid emotional experience, intertwining historical facts with artistic interpretation, the city’s past with the personal dramas of the people who once lived here. An intriguing, almost “spiritual” narrative draws you into a story set in the early 20th century – during World War II – where the characters live, create, suffer, and love right here in our city, on the streets, courtyards, and homes of the Old Town.
Early 20th-century Kaunas, its inhabitants, the city’s atmosphere, everyday stories, and the fates of its people amid the relentless turns of History – all of this, combined with audiovisual elements and glimpses of today’s Old Town landscape, forms a kind of personal film that you experience both physically and emotionally as you move through the city.
Comfortable shoes and clothing are recommended. It is not advised to “walk” the route while sitting on your sofa.
Route start: near St. Gertrude’s Church
Route end: near the Jewish Hospital
Duration: 70 minutes
